CHILDREN’S BENEFITS (500+)

Parents and guardians of children up to the age of 18 are entitled to parental benefits. Every family with a minimum of two minor children have the right to a benefit of PLN 500 for the second and each subsequent child. In the case of families with an income not exceeding PLN 800 per person, the family is also entitled to support for the first or only child. For families with a disabled child, the income criterion is PLN 1,200. Additional support in the amount of PLN 500 per child will also be provided to foster families, family-type care and educational facilities and family orphanages. For children placed in professional foster families, family-type care facilities and family-owned orphanages, an allowance in the amount of an educational benefit (PLN 500) is granted irrespective of income. The purpose of the parental benefit is to partially cover the expenses related to raising the child, including taking care of him or her and satisfying their life needs. You can apply for a parental benefit if you are: the child’s parents (if they live together with the child and keep the child), actual guardian of a child – means a person who actually cares for a child and applied to the guardianship court for the adoption of a child, legal guardian of the child. Applications for establishing the right to an educational benefit can be submitted electronically: – through e-banking system of banks that joined the program, – through EMPATIA portal run by the Ministry of the Family, Labor and Social Policy (for persons having the so-called ePUAP Trust Profile or electronic signature), – using the Electronic Services Platform – PUE ZUS, – using the electronic Public Administration Platform – ePUAP, – in person at the City Hall of Krakow: ul. Stachowicza 18, from Monday to Friday: 7.40-18.00, Zgody 2 room 117 from Monday to Friday from: 7.40- 15.30 (in August from 7.40- 18.00). In the period from August 1 to September 30, applications may also be submitted to the City Hall of Krakow in the following locations: ul.
