Migration to Poland is a phenomenon that has only recently become an object of deeper reflection. One of the key issues of the interdisciplinary area of international population flows is the adaptation of newcomers to Polish culture and also Polish citizens to interact with representatives of different cultures. On the one hand, immigrants must learn to live in the society to which they have come. On the other hand, the presence of representatives of a different culture forces indigenous people to change their own social rules. This process is called integration and is a prerequisite for avoiding conflicts between incoming migrants and host communities.
